Late in the night ,
When the surrounding
ease up ,
I hunted for the moon
but woefully it was veiled
beneath the overcast blanket .
And the talks were left
unaccomplished .........

Beneath The Surface

In an attempt to keep my head above the water
Like almighty Titanic, I strived to stand my ground,
Suddenly, I lost the anchor, found myself beneath the water with none to rescue
The challenges covered me like a deep ocean
And I swam like a dolphin in the river of troubles
that appeared as a coat of many colours
Some were like tiger fish and some, sea snakes,
tiger sharks and like great white sharks
All were ready to devour me like vampire
I couldn't help myself, it's time to surrender
Just in a bit to let go of my being to devour,
A gentle voice within echoed, "you're on a ride,
when you go on a ride, surely must return"
That, all I needed to hear, I was on a ride and sure I would RISE.
I was encouraged, no matter how overwhelming my challenge was, I would never drown, I would RISE!
Behold, here I am, I never look like what I've been through
I went on a ride, a ride far beneath the water and here I stand, I live, I'm a survival because I didn't give up on me.
NEVER GIVE UP ON YOU! YOU'LL RISE!

Still waters, fleeting shadows
Are fast seeding twilight dreams
Of togetherness.
I wait beneath the surface,
Like starved fish in grace.

These Reveries are like bait,
Bringing something intimate
To the clean platter.
Catch me unawares someday—
Show me your own face.

Or, from a distance,
Keep filling up my senses
With pure pretenses.

BENEATH THE SURFACE

Oh!!! That dirty surface!!
Don't go near!!!
Voices screams,
Judging it by what they see,
Judging it by what they think,
Judging it by what they hear.
But haven't try to look beneath,
They haven't try to look deep,
Deep deep beneath the surface.
They haven't try to understand the WHY.
Beneath the surface is something beautiful,
Something glorious than what is above,
But these voices aren't willing to know what's beneath.
You don't know who I am,
You can't understand who I want to be,
You don't know what my intentions are,
You can't understand my WHYs
Because you have seen beneath my surface.
Only those who sees it, understand every move I make.
If you don't know what my behind the scene looks like,
never make the mistake of judging me.
