Come on board
Let me row you
To the kingdom
Of Osiris the great
Let me guide you
Through the realm
Of death and take you
To the world of forever life-
"Anubis "
Hath almost no place in myth
Then where should I found Thee?
'The Book of Dead 'or in 'Necropolis '
Thy place I think it must be.
Thou, The Lord of Sacred Land
Thou, The God of Death,
And thy mystic figure
Force me to hold my breath.
Thou art an Embalmer and
The Guardian of the Scales,
Please do listen my entreaty
Send me where the evil dwells.
Anubis, The Protector of Graves
Please do listen to me,
I'm ready to offer my soul and
Only thy affirmation will make me glee.

Waif
Sheltering themselves
under the cold engines of dead metal bodies,
some with wimpy paws,
some with one eye open, ears alert enough,
as though watching out for their temporary shelters
to move over their heads any moment.
Labeled as strays, they are,
by a long chalk, more in number than you see.
At times, their shadows stretch far
on the moss-clad walls and pavements,
making you believe that it's time
for you to get your affairs in order
as if a sooty Anubis were standing
with his crook right behind in wait
to take away your soul
from under the cold engines.

The valley of forbidden
Calls upon you
Your life is over already
Only afterlife due-
If your heart is pure
I will set your soul free
And if it's not
Welcome to hell
In you go with me!-
You take the earth
I will have the sky
Both are my domains
For I'm Anubis's beloved
And the holder of Horus Eye-
You're under
Anubis's surveillance
Slightest errors
Will cost your life.-
