सुकून में हुआ करती थी
शक्सियत मेरी..
फ़िर रूह के पिंजरे से
न जाने कौनसा परिंदा
मैंने रिहा करदिया
अब रातें भी आती है
तो नींद से जगाने के लिए।

दिखता तो बंद आँखों से भी है
अँधेरा तो यूहीं बदनाम है।

शोर तो उन सुनसान गलियों में भी बहुत होता है
भरे सन्नाटे में छुपी जहाँ चीखें तमाम है।

scare me. ever.
because.
It is still
many shades
Lighter
than the Dark
I'm made of.

बुरा है वक़्त जो
यूहीं बीत जाएगा
कल जब सवेरा होगा
हर ज़ख्म मीठा नज़र आएगा

A short glimpse
at the night sky,
And I
Look away,
Suddenly.
For it
reminds me
Of the stories
The Moon and I
have in common.
I need an escape
To the warmth
Of stars.
The touch of light
As they say, heals!
For it has been COLD
for too long.
I think of the Day
the light of which
Is too bright
To let the thoughts
Make their own way
In the chaos.

This night
shall end. One day.
This dark
shall be washed off
by the light. One day.

but
is there any way
to fill
the dark
hollow cavities
it carved into my soul?

I know
There would be a dawn
one day
but Late.
But
do I have the strength
Anymore?
to wait.
and wait...

I know
the nights are not too long
for one's strength.
But when the darkness
hugs me to sleep
each night, I ask.
When the day would come
and I'll wake up.
What if
the night left
but didn't leave me.

रातों में यूँ उलझते है ख्यालों में जो,
बहुत कुछ सुलझा जाते है.....

-

मुद्दतों बाद जो
एक शाम
नींद में थोड़ा सुकून आया था..
कई रातों की नींद
पल में ही
बस एक ख़्वाब
हराम कर गया
एक ख़्वाब के लिए।
