Yes, I did cry last night
—And no one saw me doing that.
No one asked me the reason why
—Rather I didn't feel the need to say that.

No , I didn't cry for the ephemeral presence
Of those I never met again.
Neither did I cry for those
Whom I had disdained in pain.
But, I did cry for that boy
whom I saw a year ago.
Who thought that his life was his worst foe,
I wish I could meet him again
Just to let him see—
that he is now stronger
than what he expected himself to be.
