I sold, all that was dear to me,
Just to get tickets for two.
I stood in rain, cold and hard,
Waiting forever for you.
Buses came and went,
No sight yet, near and far, too.
Watched the movie alone,
For, what else was left to do?
Walked back on my own,
Alas, never heard a word from you.
Years have passed since,
I have learnt to live through.
Have seen pretty sights, ate well,
Travelled much under the blue.
Now I walk with my head high,
Smile often, have much to look up to!
Yet I don't know why I still do,
But I always buy tickets for two.
Don't worry, I don't wait anymore.
But I can't help, and still save a seat for you.
