Ships of friendship, companionship, relationship,
All are destined to sink, although sent from heaven above.
Don't invest too much, or you will drown,
Save yourself before it's late, let the ship go down.

So cherish the moments, but don't get too tied,
To any of the ships, that will eventually hurt and divide.
Maintain a clear distance, that's the safest bet for you,
Else the sinking ship will lead to a regret out of the blues.

For human connection is what we really adore,
A mindful conversation is simply that we need more.
For when the ships built well, will have sunk to the sea,

Time stood still in our connection, now it moves with haste.
New faces entered your life, and our bond was reduced to a distant past.
Words that once flowed like a river, now trickle like a dying stream.
I carried the pain of being hurt, hoping for a revival, but it was all in vain.

Your absence no longer pierces my soul, for I've learned to shield myself.
In this world, God's presence is my comfort and solace.
He sees it all, he feels it to the core, he shall protect me, am sure.
