Slowly fades away, my chapter
Into the oblivion, never to be read again
Only the ink-stains will stay
And random echoes of my being

Those roses tied with satin ribbons
Hands held, like gripping a lifeline
Eyes which could see only you

Tall iron barricades see no farewells
The end just sneaks up unawares

Remember these echoes
Of a short time of peace

Above the mundane
Amid silence divine

I spread my wings and whiz
Past cloud castles, rooks of cumulus
Soaring high with majestic avians
Playing hide and seek with Moon and Sun— % &I sit on the slipper Moon
Watch the Sea churn below, restless
I hop-scotch with stars
Alone amongst Ethereal crowds

Away, far away, far far away
From Earthly horrors
I abide in peace up here

बेखुदी में डूबे हुए
एहसास नहीं मिलते

कहते कहते रुक जातें हैं,
अल्फाज़ नहीं मिलते

मिलती हैं जन्नते
जिनकी लेकिन शिद्दत है
वो इन्सान नहीं मिलते

मिल तो जातें हैं भगवान भी
कुछ लोग कभी नहीं मिलते

आदत नहीं है हमें
पलकों पर रहने की

इतना भी ना
खयाल रखो हमारा

कि आदत लग जाए
इस क़दर उलझने की

आदतें छूटती नहीं
वैसे भी आसानी से

उसमे सबसे बुरी
आदत किसी के साथ की

ऐसे हमें पढ़ लिया
हम खुली क़िताब थे जैसे

एक एक राज़ निकाल लिया
तुमने बनकर सैलाब हो जैसे।।

पत्थर की लकीर से
दिमाग़ में घर कर गए

होटों में रहकर
मुस्कान में भर गए।।

क्यों सोचते रहें हम
क्यों कुछ बोल ना सके

किस बात का अफ़सोस
यूंही बस करते रहे।।

उम्र गुजरी, लफ्ज़ न मिलें
खामोशियां बढ़ती गईं

हम चुप रहे, तुम चुप रहे
जिंदगी यूं ही बीत गई।।
