when my self esteem was trodden
under the feet of those inhumane people.
It's been two years since the incident
and those memories still haunt me.
I still can't sleep and wake up with the same nightmare every morning.
May Maa Durga give me courage to forget and forgive those morons.🙏🙏

Yesterday was Father's day and I hated every bit of it. Three years ago on the occasion of Father's day I had written a beautiful poem for my Dad. Unfortunately he caught someone's evil eye and within a fortnight I lost him. Since then I hate this idea of Father's day. The pain of being fatherless always made my heart ache. This Father's day so many kids are feeling the same heartache as they have lost their fathers in the pandemic. My heart goes out to the bereaved families. May god give them strength to bear the loss and may all the departed souls rest in peace.

One day it just clicks… You realise what is important and what isn’t, you learn to care less about what other people think of you and care more about what you think of yourself. You realise how far you have come and you remember thinking that things were such a mess they’d never recover and then you smile. You smile because you’re truly proud of the person you have fought to become.
