The mind is a battlefield

The mind is a battlefield, our scripture says
It is confused and in conflict nights and days

Organized religions are always after your mind
Controlling your thoughts and making you blind

Advertisers and marketers look for your mind
Showing your dream world that you never can find

Then comes Government that is after your mind
Shaping you into a robot making your life a daily grind

Education systems want to control your mind
Teaching old rigid knowledge with no wisdom aligned

Social media and groups want to color your mind
Want you to follow opinions keeping your creativity confined

The mind is in contradiction and endless struggle
Longing for peace but always in trouble

How could you rely on your mind so programmed and conditioned
So fragmented, unreliable, insecure and partitioned

Follow your heart’s whisper with closed eyes and in silence
Disbelieve the whims of the mind and hold on to divine guidance
