Unmoored
Darkling
diaspora
of thoughts
flagellate, unmoored enervate,
soft thrum of regret palpitates,
ominous is the sky, clouds tinged red reverberate.

Cracked
The scaffoldings stand like scarecrows,
uncertain and ageing,
their green tarps billow mesmerisingly
in the wind,
ripples in a stationary ocean.
The men climb them with a prayer,
breaking the broken with determined flair,
the transferrence of energy, lop sided,
the men look drained and scared.
The cracks keep reappearing,
like wounds incapable of healing,
their tears now saturate the ceiling.
The men chase them,
voyagers of a doomed mission,
in futility,
they try to sow reason.
The newly painted surface smiles,
it knows its short lived life.-
a handwritten letter
in cursive,
deliberate
architecture of phrases,
a poem at times,
sometimes
an expository thesis,
always knowing but
its own address.

In/Ex-Hale
We do breathe,
each other's breath,
photosynthesising
a bios-cumulative,
no way to divide this rebellious air.

Temptation
seven deadly sins
temptation beguiles at will
no saints to abstain
San— % &... — % &-
The poems would be too perfect,
the grammar too sound,
no blue lines would pinpoint
eccentricities of the mind,
no new lows it would go,
no highs would resound,
no conundrums to with hold
no dilemmas to propound,
Regurgitated concoction of ultra processed words,
making dumber all that is dumb.

A Flower
The day held me in its
strong arms,
the wind caressed my cheeks,
but now I feel my eyes close,
in the soft peat of
my ancestors, let me sleep.

The Burden of Love
Love exalts, love crushes,
love binds, love is courage,
love defies, love riots,
love releases,
love is blamed,
love is never blind or deaf,
if anything,
love is breath in thin air.
