‘I shall not speak out’

First they came for the Farmers, and I did not speak out,
Because I was not a Farmer.

Then they came for the Unemployed, and I did not Speak out,
Because I was not Unemployed.

Then they came for the Muslims, and I did not speak out,
Because I was not a Muslim.

Then they will come for the Christians, and I shall not speak out,
Because I am not a Christian.

Then they will come for Dalits, and I shall not speak out,
Because I am not a Dalit.

Then they will come for the Sikhs, and I shall not speak out,
Because I am not a Sikh.

Then they came for me,
And there shall no one be left to speak for me.
