HELLO; GOODBYE!

it only looked like yesterday when it all began,
time passed by so quickly as the show came to an end;
one doesn't always get a chance to say goodbye,
even if one wanted to and even if one did try;
close ones silently drift away for reasons not one's own,
things slowly fall apart for reasons quite unknown!
