There I was
Standing alone.
My eyes locked onto
The figure of this
Sensual elegance
Beautiful long legs,
Luscious, shiny auburn hair
And eyes like windows
Into heaven.
A masterpiece of grace
In motion.
Just then my friend Arijit elbows me:
"Oh just marry her, why dont you?"
A bit unnerved I reply.
First of all, Arijit,
That is not a "her"
Secondly,
Horses don't wed.
Third, if horses wed,
And i were a mare,
Then i would absolutely marry
Because that pulchritudinous creature
Is the epitome of beauty, my friend.

Consider this with me,
We, humans, lament
having too little time
while sitting on a boundless
continuum of moments
is our complaint
not a fugacious one,
a mere blip
in the grand
narrative of time ?
We grumble about deadliness,
yet laugh
with friends as if
seconds are eternal.
how odd is that?
Time's true abundance
or scarcity
is often in
the perception,
not the clock.

We fell in love, you and I, we fell in love in a moment, a moment that lasts a lifetime.

You and I will meet again,
When we're least expecting it,
One day in some far off place,
I will recognize your face,
I won't say goodbye my friend,
For you and I will meet again.

Understand:
You should be
radiating confidence,
not arrogance
or disdain. 🌻-
