I go rolling to this place
A dark and dismal corner
Where loneliness and sorrow pool
And play out their macabre song
Till I climb out to the pooling rims
Peek out to watch your face
A shadow play in the distance
The clouds have crossed your way
But they won't cry, they say
And so I sob beneath
The layers of summer smoke
Body and mind bound in rapture
Unbidden unrest, deafening chaos.

There is no purgatory worse than the one in your mind.

For someone who left darkness within;
Your words sounded fake.
Just like my smile.

My words scattered over paper
Shall pierce your heart of stone
One day.
Into that crevice
shall flow all my love again.

How much we give
is more often
a measure of our hearts
than our wallets.

lilting verse
make for little poetry
than a heart in misery.
