I'll not let you fall
Into the dreamy cascades of forbidden love;
Or let you sip the heady drink,
Stopping your hand, before it can reach
For the sinful glass of dark temptation.
I would have loved to be with you
In a bower of sweet-scented roses;
Resting on your arm,reclined,
Seeing the birds fly in the blue sky.
But throttled we are by society's claws.
I'm just content to see your million dollar smile.
To be with you, we need another life.
