वायु के वेग कुछ तीव्र हो रहे थे,
मेघों की नाद में हुंकार थी,
विद्युत् प्रलयंकर हो तड़क उठी थी,
मानो महासंग्राम की टंकार थी।

दृढ़ खड़े स्वर्ण निष्क जाग्रत महल के,
ऊर्ध्व कवच स्वरूपी रक्त शक्ति साकार थी,
आकाशगंगा से पतते दिव्य अश्वों युक्त रथ में,
अलौकिक योद्धाओं की शक्तियां ले रही आकार थीं।

संग्राम जगत् के प्रलय को प्रस्थापित कर रहा था,
विश्व के अंत का यह भी एक प्रकार थी,
परिस्थिति हस्त के आलिंगन से परे जा रही थी,
मरण और संहार की एकान्तर से संपर्कार थी।

कुछ कोरी सी, कुछ नीरस,
एक छोटी सी बात थी,
काली घनी, तारों से भरी,
ये टिमटिमाती सी रात थी।

मैं छत पे टांगे पसार के लेटा था,
मन में पसंद के ख्वाबों की बहार थी,
तभी दूर से कुछ आहट आई,
आसमान में दिख रही उड़ती कोई कार थी,

मैं डर के आगोश में खोया था,
हाथ पैरो में दम नहीं हृदय बेजान था,
पास आई तो दिखा उड़ती हुई मछली थी,
और टूटा तो जाना ये बस एक ख्वाब था।

मैं देखूँ आकाश के तारे
और सोचूँ कि क्यों मैं यहाँ हूँ
एक अज्ञात नगर में, एक अज्ञात कार्य में
जबकि मेरा परिवार मुझे दूर पे बुलाता है
क्या यही है ज़िन्दगी का लक्ष्य?
क्या पैसे ही हैं सुख का सोपान?
क्या मैंने सही फ़ैसला लिया है?
क्या मुझे वापस घर को जाना चाहिए?

मुझे याद हैं मेरे बचपन के दिन
जब मैं खेलता था मेरे साथियों के साथ
मुझे याद हैं मेरी माँ की आँखें
जो मुझ पर प्यार से झलकती थीं
मुझे याद हैं मेरे पिता की सीख
जो मुझे ज़िन्दगी का पाठ पढ़ाती थीं
मुझे याद हैं मेरी बहन की हंसी
जो मुझे ख़ुशी से भरती थी
मुझे ख़त्म होता हुआ महसूस होता है
मुझे ख़ोता हुआ महसूस होता है
मुझे ख़ाली होता हुआ महसूस होता है
मुझे ख़ामोश होता हुआ महसूस होता है

मैं पूछता हूँ सितारों से
क्या वो भी महसूस करते हैं
क्या वो भी किसी को याद करते हैं
क्या वो भी किसी से प्रेम करते हैं
पर सितारे कुछ नहीं कहते
सिर्फ़ चमकते हैं
मुझे लगता है कि शायद
वो सिर्फ़ ख़ुशी के पलों को संजोते हैं

पर ख़ुशी कहाँ मिलती है
मुझे ख़ुल कर हंसने को

I was waiting for that last resort,
that soft breeze which gave me a fresh start,
peeking by the window, waiting for flowing grass,
I was waiting for a breeze to warm up my heart.
She came by walked up to me,
I felt that breeze, my heart started to flee,
I held my breath, asked, "how are you?",
She said, "gorgeous, can't you see??"
I was taken aback, blew away by this chirpy and free,
I said, "you are dream come true, yeah, I can see".
She leaned on to me, said, "Can I ask you something?",
I said, "Yes, why not, I am completely free.",
She said, "I like the way you look at me,
can we be together and will you make us we ?",
I was taken aback as if it was a dream,
My alarm went off and I woke up with a grin.

कुछ सूखी, कुछ गर्म,
कुछ खाली, कुछ आम थी,
मैं खिड़की से बैठे बैठे एक टक देखता था,
वो गुनगुनी धूप सी गर्मी की शाम थी।

सड़के कुछ खाली थीं, गालियां सुनसान थीं,
दिन भर की थकान से, प्रकृति बेजान थी,
मैं ठंडी हवा के झोके के इंतजार में बैठा था,
वो गुनगुनी धूप सी गर्मी की शाम थी।

परिंदों का अकाल था, आसमा पीला बेजान था,
रुका था सबकुछ जैसे जिंदगी किसी ने थाम दी,
मैने फिर भी हार ना मानी, इंतजार करता रहा,
वो गुनगुनी धूप सी गर्मी की शाम थी।

वक़्त जो थमा सा है चलने लगेगा,
फिर ख्वाब सपनो से मिलने लगेगा,
जो एक लंबा सफर सामने है,
अब ये सफर तय करना पड़ेगा।
ग़म जो भरा है वो सहन पड़ेगा,
काटों को फूल मान चलना पड़ेगा,
जो मुश्किल डगर सामने है,
अब ये डगर तय करना पड़ेगा।

कण कण के तामस से घिर कर,
श्यामल घटा छिटक छाई,
कड़ कड़ मेघों के गर्जन से,
घुमड़ घुमड़ बदरा फिर आयी।

स्वयं के विष का दोहन करके,
अमृत के मंथन को छाई,
विध्वंसक ध्वनि के प्रलाप से,
घुमड़ घुमड़ बदरा फिर आयी।

रूप, दोष, गुण भाव त्याग कर,
अग्नि अंधियारे सी छाई,
मृत्यु के मरने से अज के,
घुमड़ घुमड़ बदरा फिर आयी।
