Nature's Wrath
I thought I knew nature's ways, but I was blind
I did not heed its warnings, nor its signs
I took for granted what it gave me every day
And then it snatched my dearest love away
I thought our bond was strong, our hearts aligned
I did not see the troubles, nor the lies
I loved them deeply, more than words can say
And then they left me, when I needed them to stay
It was not their fault, nor mine, nor fate
It was just nature's wrath, cruel and great
I was not prepared, nor ever will I be
To face this loss, this pain, this agony
