Again, that's easier said than done.

What do you do when your attraction for someone burns like fire, white hot? What do you do when their thoughts keep you up at night?

My attraction for Steve was like a raging conflagration. On the one hand, I was afraid of touching him and being touched.

I have always had a strained relationship with the opposite sex. Given my history, I thought I was only looked at as an object, to be used and disposed off at the will of a male.

But in the end, attraction won. I went looking for Steve in Philadelphia from New York City, where I taught at the University.

I was wrong. So wrong.
