Nayantara entered the living room, dressed in a bright red saree, the pallu draped over her head in obeisance, holding a puja plate in her hands.

Walking up to her husband Vir, she waved the plate full of flowers and a lamp in front of his face in circles several times. Then she applied tilak on his forehead, and fed him a spoonful of sweetened curd.

' May you come back successful and safe,ji," she said.

' You are such a good wife, Taraji. Mataji would be so happy if she were alive."

As soon as she locked the door behind Vir, her phone beeped. Smiling, she texted back.

Come home. He's out of town for a week. Will keep the bedroom ready. Vanilla, chocolate and leather.

Nayantara took off her saree and petticoat. Inside, she wore a red lace slip and pantyhose.
