is something we all have forgotten, parents love also has expectations, they expect their child to try hard and to become happy or has good social standing, their expectations are for the betterment of the child but still they are expectations. Having expectations isn't bad, it's human behaviour and we are humans so we should be open about it, lose heart too but support others even when they don't meet the expectations.
