You see I have dwelled in the same tale,
Over and again –
I know how it all begins,
And in the end, how it would crumble.
As you take the book of my life,
And flip through the pages,
The characters change,
Each offering a different flavour of pain.
No matter what you say,
A different pair of lips have uttered the same.
And no matter what you do,
Don’t be so naïve as to think it’s just you.
But I keep running into you,
It is you, over and again,
You, masked with a new face,
In a new lane.
For you, my heart will race,
All over again.
And again, back to the start I will go.
