"I knew they won't" kinda acceptance can never completely exclude the "why didn't they" question or "I wish they would have" thought from our heart. It just suppresses the expectation..

Let them realise the affection you hold in your heart for them
Let them know what they mean to you

But no matter what
Never let them know that you want them to love you back
Never let them know the priority you want to receive from them
Never force them to give you the position in their life that you want to be in

Accept the fact that not necessarily we always get the same thing in return which we give,
Accept the fact that we should never give anything in expectation of getting a return..

But never stop loving someone just because they don't love you back..
