How can we celebrate freedom's light,
When darkness shadows every street

an innocent life is crushed beneath

The tricolour flutters, but does it see
The pain etched deep in a mother’s eyes?
Can it feel the anguish of a country,
As it watches its promises turn to lies?

Not this year, not with these wounds,
That bleeds with every silent scream.
Let’s hold our heads low, and let it be known,
That independence is still a distant dream.
