गुस्सा एक बिगड़ा बच्चा होता है
जिसमें औरों की फर्माइश के लिए दिल में जगह ही नहीं होती,
एक ऐसे उलझे सूत का गुच्छा
जिसको सुलझाने की कोई ख्वाहिश ही नहीं होती।
कांच का वो नुकीला टुकड़ा
जिसकी धार से घोर चोट पहुंचती है,
बात बिगड़ने से ऐसी दरार पड जाती है
कि अक्सर वापस जुड़ने की गुंजाईश ही नहीं होती।

With a promise of love and care for each other today and tomorrow,
Walked hand in hand not just along the path of joy but also amongst tempest and sorrow.
Have been together for seconds, minutes, days, weeks, months, years,
Stayed with love n care in good health, in sickness, wiping off our fears and tears.

Strode over greenery amongst the fragrant flowers,
At times, rode over deserts and rocky terrain without a pause.
Danced to each others tunes amongst life's ups and downs, 
Smiling, laughing, punctuated at times with wee little frowns.

We stood side by side in good and bad weather,
Sharing our wings to fly, hearts beating together.
We owe our smiles to our teachers, friends, family, to our children,
To all with whom we came to meet often, and to those who shared their time now and then.

On our marraige anniversary I ask you to be with us, O God, May our journey go on and on.
Be with us whether it is sunrise, sunset, be it a dark night or a golden morn.
Help us to see new hope always within us,
Help us with the gift of thanksgiving every night, at every dawn.
