Having a spiritual teacher, in one's life can be a deeply enriching and transformative experience. The experience can vary greatly depending on the individual and the guru.
For me personally, having a guru means having a guide, helping me navigate through life's complexities and challenges. The guru provides insight and wisdom, encouraging me to look at situations from different perspectives. Gurus may share teachings through words, but also through their actions and way of life.
