Pretending to be happy when you are in pain is like taking selfies with back camera. It's one of the biggest mistakes we do out of kindness for others, but here I urge you to be kind to yourself in the first place. Reserve a place for yourself too in that big heart of yours. When you feel miserable, at least don't avoid it from your own self. Take time, to feel what is important to feel and heal what is important to heal. Ignorance is not a solution, it's an addiction that doesn't make anything better in long term. To pretend is to not live your truth. From what I've known, living your truth is the most blissful you can be. Don't fear being sad, fear being so bottled up that you don't know how to express it. Learning the art of expression is what gives meaning to life. Small portions of emotions released now and then is much better than saving them up and let them drown you drop by drop. Nothing is more important than expressing what you feel. I repeat, nothing.
