Dear Mumbai Police,
I wanted to cross from the west side of the Shivaji Park to the east side of the park towards Shiv Sena Bhavan and as I was walking my cycle (not riding), I was stopped by the Police saying there is Naka bandi all around Shivaji Park. The time was 6:30 am. Though people could be seen walking and running around the garden, and I could have easily walked with my cycle to the other side just like a pedestrian. But I wasn't allowed.
I understand it’s 1st May, Maharashtra/worker day. There is going to be political ceremonies or rallies happening today, but I don’t understand the logic of doing Naka bandi all around Shivaji Park, Dadar from 4 o' clock in the morning, when the event at the park is supposed to happen after 11 o' clock. Why give troubles to all the runners and cyclists of the vicinity?
