It's been a while now,
since everything seised to make a difference.
It's been a while now,
since I started noticing how hollow my room is.
Buried under the sheets, gasping for air,
days went by and I couldn't even care.
Just for the sake of it, I woke up every morning.
Then go to bed at midnight, hoping that I don't.
The superfluous afflictions, honestly don't make no sense.
It's been a while now,
since all of this condoned.
Peace.

जज़्बातों को तो कैद कर दिया था एक अरसे पहले,
जब एक गुज़रे आँसू कि कीमत अदा की थी तुमने।
छिपा दिया था उन्हें एक अरसे पहले,
उस भीगे गिलाफ़ में लपेट कर।
नाउम्मीद सी ख़्वाहिश आज भी ज़िंदा है,
बाग़ीचे में दफ़्न वो ख़त पढ़ने को।
मेरे रुआँसे काजल का रंग जिनकी स्याही में घुला था।

In a black wretched hole.

Are nightmares that haunt.

Along with the silence,
Darkness fills my room again.

लिखावटें सवारने में,
सारी उम्र तो यूँ अदा कर दी।
कागज़ के उन पन्नों में लिखे मुकलमों में,
आवाज़ कुछ तुमने भरी कुछ हमने भर दी।

जो कालीन के नीचे छिपा गया था कोई,
वो तो बस ख़ामोशी थी शायद।
सियासतों में उलझी रही जो बातें,
वो तो बस ख़ामोशी थी शायद।
अँधेरे में गुम वो सिलवटें सुलझाने में,
उम्र बीत कर ज़माना हो गयी।
मगर उन सिलवटों में ही तो
कहीं ज़िन्दगी कैद थी शायद।

Is about to shed along with the winds.
It was a journey to the blossom,
Written in the silver linings of the clouds.
Which bestowed their rain upon
And faded into the autumn.

बस दो पल की ही सही, मगर वो भी तो
मुलाकात ही थी।
दूर कुछ फासलों से ही सही, मगर वो भी तो मुलाकात ही थी।
नाजायज़ उन ख्वाहिशों के साथ,
कहीं दफ़्न थे वो अलफ़ाज़।
बेताब उस कब्र से ही सही, मगर वो भी तो मुलाकात ही थी।

In the honour of a dead blue dream.

ख़ामोश सा वो एक मंज़र था।
लफ्ज़ ग़ालिब उनके भी थे,
कुछ हैरान हम भी थे।
ना जाने फिर किस शोर में
दो ज़िंदगियाँ सिमट के रह गयी।
