A Goodbye Poem for Him

How could I not love him?
For he loved the parts that I hated about myself,
He befriended my fiercest demons,
Embraced my scars like they were my prettiest parts,
Listened to me without any judgement,
Hugged my insecurities and accepted them.
His prayers included me more than himself,
Kissed my pain away one memory at a time,
Taught me to love everything i hated about myself.
Cared for me like a mother does for a child,
Wiped my tears away before it touched my lips,
Found me worthy of so much love and affection,
Made me believe in the truest form of love,
Made me believe in miracles and magic of life,
Pushed me to my limits to pursue my dreams,
Buried my sorrows in the curves of his face,
Showed me that we are human and that we hurt,
Taught me the value of preserving my body and soul,
Told me I was beautiful in ways I would have never anticipated.
Loved me in a way I thought would never be possible.
So tell me now how could I not love him?
