One scorching afternoon, walking alone on a road, I happened to rest under an elephantine tree whose name I don't know yet. Panting hard for breath I wiped the sweat beads over my forehead. Too weary to continue my walk, I decided to stay by the tree's dark shade. (That decision was much worthy, which I realized later)
Having nothing to do other than catching up some air, my mind began its usual stroll. Strangely, I began thinking about that tree.
He was too mammoth and there were hundreds of flowers and fruits in it, and about a dozen nests of little birds and tiny squirrels. There always were some exhausted travelers under it, leaning their backs by its trunk. Kids always had their play-place there.
And then suddenly I wondered, "who takes care of this tree?!" Nobody seemed to. Literally no one took care of him.
But that didn't make him any weak. He was there, as sturdy as iron, withstanding a hundred storms, a thousand dews and a million warm days.
And then, I realized
Had he been like us, expecting a return for every deed done, he would never have been this much BETTER
And had we been like him, not expecting returns for every good done, we would never have been this WORSE!
