I’m aware,
Of the mirror I pass each day
That whispers the truth I don’t often say
I walk a road, future in sight
Guided by my soul and facts in light.

Being who I am, honest and complete
Not shaped by those I tend to meet
In true friendships, I hold my ground
Where love is still, and my peace is found

Let them respect the storm and grace
Let them see my truest face
Let them come if they are true
For I have no space for the untrue few

I’m aware
We are wired deep to seek embrace
To adjust our tone, our ways and even our face
We are wired to dim the light within
So others can feel more at home in our skin

Enough of names, sharp and blind
When all I seek is something kind
They don’t know the wars I’ve fought,
With all the scars, my freedom has been bought

I’m aware
In this truth, I manage to stand
With self-respect in my trembling hands
No more façade, no more pretend
As the past is a fading whisper, and my future, an awaiting ascent!

Beneath the hush of whispering trees,
As all the world drifts into ease,
I watch the shadows shimmer bright,
And leap through woods in soft twilight.

Beneath the sky of diamond light,
Moonlight glowing on my skin,
With the fireflies, I twirl and spin,
A world of wonder I believe.

In this hush, so pure, so deep,
I learn to hold, I learn to keep,
Each moment dear, each breath that comes..
Embracing life, however it runs.

Each breath I take is soft and free,
A thread of stardust carrying me.
The clouds drift by with edges kissed,
A silver lining in the mist.

And in this still, enchanted air,
I take in life, both wild and sweet.
No need to chase, no need to run,
I'm home beneath the moon and the sun.

My body never seize to amaze me
From tolerating the mental turmoil to enduring physical pain
It's been put through enough trauma to break
Yet here it is, standing tall and deep rooted, providing me strength physically and emotionally through my journey of healing.
It's time to return the favour and take care of it dearly
And claim my health, strength and confidence that I lost in the battle called life.

In times of immense grief and pain
In times of misery and in times of heartache
In times of utter dismay and deep anguish
In the silent screams and the tear streams
In the muffled cries and self despise
Finding my strength and my courage
To get over the past which was a nightmare
Rediscovering my identity and my soul
Which were trapped in shackles in the name of love
I raise from the ashes of destruction and delusion
I soar high above my insecurities and self doubts

Surviving amidst the chaos
Striving to overcome the sorrows
She turns her flaws into her wings
And her failures into her blings
One more reason she looked for
That gives her hope to live for!
She looked in people
She looked in power
She looked in wealth
She looked in health
And finally she looked within
From that day on,
She never looked back.

Everytime I fall short of words,
I think of you,
and my poem flows.
Everytime I have so much to write,
I think of you,
and I fall short of words.
You make my mind work in such a twisted way that
nothing seems enough
and everything seems more.
The twisted tale of us,
and the twisted love we share,
always throws us far apart,
only to bring us closer.

The days I yearned to be with you
The time I spent waiting for you
All those moments spent in utter heartache
All those wishes I hoped to come true
The wait, the hope, the faith and the trust
Will never go in vain and
We'll be okay...

Going through a rough patch
Blaming and hurting each other
Questioning each other's intentions
Striving through hiccups in our relation
The arguments, the fights and the cries
Will all subside with time and
We'll be okay...

Defying the odds against us
Finding solace in your arms
I'll come back to you every time
And I'll learn to love you even more
The love, the trust, the care and the compassion
Will find their way back to us and
We'll be okay.....

They are a beautiful chaos in the middle of a serene ocean...
They can be dangerous as thorns, yet so beautiful as roses
They can be dreadful as a storm, yet so peaceful like baby ocean waves
They'll take you to the hell and suddenly drop you in the heaven
They give you the scariest nightmares, yet so lovely moments
That's the thing about dreams,
They are unpredictable, yet so exciting
They are tideous, yet so soothing
They are horrific, yet so peaceful
They can break you as well as make you!!!

I fear the feeling of being taken for granted
I fear the feeling of worthlessness
I fear the nightmares
I fear the anxious days
I fear the feeling of being hated
I fear the lack of love
I fear the fear of not overcoming my fears!!!
