The recent violence by bullies in our prestigious schools and the gang violence that prevented Cape Town's residents from going to our beautiful beaches in Muizenberg and Fish Hoek, to escape the blistering heat, is a grim reality that our authorities and law enforcement agencies have capitulated to the powerful gangs and have abrogated their responsibility to protect the residents, especially, the residents in our townships, who are the most vulnerable. The only response from our politicians is to condemn the violence from the comfort of their plush and well secured state homes. February 9, 2025.
