AI, in the not too distant future, may replace much of the work done by doctors but it will never be able to properly annalyse patients' fears and concerns as objectively as well as physicians can, especially when symptoms have an emotional element to them. Inanimate AI will not be able to listen to a patient with empathy like caring human beings can nor will it be able to offer the reassurance that comes from a physician's touch during a physical examination.
