Cage the rage
It's what they always say
He says he loves her but his fists cant stay away
This giant of a man against a rose that we call mum
I guess Im lucky it was his fists and not a gun.
And all I can think is, he could do this to me
How can I protect her when I'm only fifteen
What he does his wrong!
And I've got to stay strong
Ive got to get stregth for both of us to move on.
Every day we would tremble and be scared.
Do you know a teenager that still wets the bed?
Literally in fear
Waking up to screams and banging
Doors slamming
A living horror movie
And i remember my mother's words as she tried to sooth me
"Were leaving, pack up our stuff!"
It's time to start beleiving
But we didn't leave
Because mum said
"Where will we go?"
And i said
"Anywhere as long as daddy doesn't know"
And that was the day mum got a little stronger, he had taken so much
But would take no longer.
Im not a preacher, this rage is wrong.
But least now I can sAy that the animal is gone!
