Heartstrings

Beneath the twilight skies
waves come crashing down,
roaring the love notes of my heart
as my soul searches for yours
by the seashore,
where our dreams
fly unchaperoned.
Basking in the glory
of the midnight blues,
akin to the crescent,
my unrequited love
now bids me farewell
my eyes, ah! drowning
into the abyss of darkness.

Moon : An amalgam of blues and greens, you hide treasures
beneath the icy surface and rise above the barren lands,
You bring the sunshine in a farmer's life, rain drops fall
from your lashes as the orangish hue fuels its engines,
gradually letting the chills take precedence,
There's another side, a shade you fear,
but spread nonetheless,
Be it in the calm before the storm
or the quiver before the quakes,
You are the mother of us all,
Breathing in your shadow and disappearing in your lap!

Sun : Revolving around me, I see spheres and rings
of varying shapes and sizes,
Why, I muse are you my favorite?
Maybe, it's because of how you let me be
the light for those dots breathing in you,
Or how, you always calm me down,
When I burn too much to handle,
Who knows, maybe it's the many
shades of my rise and descend,
My magic that you showcase,
Making me a wonder in your own skies!

It is odd
for I haven't really been;
for a long time now.
Yet here I am, baring my soul,
an audience of spectacled strangers
under the moonlit night
in front of open mics.
Is it odd,
how easily you praise the words
yet here I am, still,
unable to fathom the depth of it all.
I wonder if now,
It's just melancholy
for I don't hope no more,
all I hear in your thundering encore
is my aloofness reverberating through?

All I can see
are images of me
spiralling down the staircase
racing through the hallways,
curled up in a cocoon
of fear, anxiety and insecurity.
All I can see
are images of me
wiping away those tears,
steely eyes looking back at me
holding the head high,
breathing out the suffocation,
I nod and the mirror
nods back at me.
All I can think
how it took
one moment of courage,
and how freedom
came at a price,
I was ready to pay.

Stealing Hope.

All I see is darkness,
the kind that's black and deep,
where escape is an impossible dream.
All I see are closed doors
my cries rooted deep,
the kind that makes me suffocate
with a new dawn.
I wish to fly,
away from it all,
I wish to rise,
causing chaos in my wake, if only.
I am willing,
to steal,
steal hope from my despair,
steal hope via the welled up eyes
and closed up voice knots.
I am willing,
to steal hope
from my doomed reality,
I am willing
to fly, to chase
and to live a dream,
a lie, so much more
beautiful than my life.

Closing in on me,
a tad black
and a touch white.
Monochrome.
Caging in on me,
a tad desperate
and a shimmer dark.
Listless,
I am wandering
in the past of my time
waiting, bidding
for the colors to splash,
splash over my dreams and I.
Searching,
my eyes are now lost,
dwelling deeper
drowning, into the
pools of reality, ah!

A new dawn
in a parallel universe,
rays piercing through
as flowers bloom basking in the glory!
A new day

winds blowing with gusto
as people flock unafraid, unmasked!
A sublime evening
in a parallel universe,
the moonlight paving way
as hospitals are no longer bleeding red!
A starry twilight
in a parallel universe,
streets are no longer empty
as laughter echoes,
resonating through the darkness!
