I breathe in, hoping it may have
come from inside you.
I exhale, hoping you'd let me in.

In the meantime life happened.
All the while
I forgot to look at myself
and realize what a mess
I have become
craving for the things
that never really existed.
-
What do I want from love?
A muse,
Someone to think of,
Someone to write about.
In return, all I can give is myself.
-
I need a new life with new people in it;
no one fishing for answers in my face,
no one offering clarity to my confusion,
no one enquiring my whereabouts
when I prefer to stay invisible,
no one asking who I am
when I choose to remain anonymous,
no one sugarcoats, no one lies.
I need a new life devoid of people
but I can't have one,
because without them life will equate to death.

We humans are always fooled by Time.
We sip our memories like holy narcotics,
and expect it will blur the intensity of hurt.-
I've lost the apetite for change, it flusters me now. I can't bring myself to swing between a mundane present and an uncertain future. There's an unsaid comfort in being blanketed by same old life, friendly little joys and unsurprising grief. That way I know the right to every wrong, and I have a fix for every break. I am too afraid the leave all this behind.

We are always told to be like the sun, shining bright, providing light to many; but what they forget to mention is, like the sun, it necessitates us burning.
-
Those who hate you because of your religion,
do not understand love;
Those who kill in the name of religion,
neither understand religion nor God.-
After a great loss such as the loss of a loved one,
we often try to fill the void with something ephemeral,
something which will not have the power to cause us hurt.

Writing a poem is like falling in love, I don't know where I will end up, or whether I will even end up happy, but it never keeps me from beginning.
