वो शाम सी हसीन, मैं रात सा उससे मिलता हूँ।
दो पल की हैं ये मुलाक़ातें, इन्हीं में मैं ढलता संवरता हूँ।

हम तो पूरी ज़िंदगी गुज़ार देते तुम्हारे इंतेज़ार में,
मगर हमारी ज़िंदगी ही तुम थे तुम्हें गुज़रने कैसे देते

मुझे खुद से इतना भी रुसवा ना कर ऐ ज़िंदगी,
कहीं मौत से दिल लगा बैठे, तो बचा ना पाओगे।

ज़माने से पूछा हमने, क्या तुम भी बेवफ़ा थे?
हँस कर कहने लगा, मैं ही था बस इल्ज़ाम तुम पर लगा।

वो शायद कोई ख़्वाब है जो मुझे सोने नहीं देता
वरना जागने के लिए कमबख़्त ज़िंदगी में रखा ही क्या है?

2.5 years, that’s how long we waited
Doing things that we hated
Sadly, all went in vain
Here we suffer in pain!
You want us to sail through,
But our ship is sinking!
You want us to light hope’s candle,
But the wax is melting!

जो तुमने पूछा हमारा हाल,
अच्छा लगा!
कोई तो है जिसे हमारी फ़िक्र है,
किसी के ख़्याल में तो हमारा ज़िक्र है!
मगर हम बताएँ भी तो क्या,
यूँही खोए रहते हैं,
न ग़म, न चाहत, न किसी की याद है,
बस कुछ अनकहे, अनजाने से जज़्बात हैं!

Stuck in a room, lost in dreams
Logged in on zoom, based on our streams
Everyday we get up and pray
Hoping that it’s the glorious day,
The day we waited for eagerly
The day we reach the campus & be free
We are sad as we lose out the fun
The fun of loitering and chatting in the sun,
Proms, freshers and fests we don’t ask
