जब दोनों में अधिक प्रेम होता हैं
तब यह दुनिया अपना सा लगता हैं
और स्वर्ग सा लगता हैं
लेकिन जब पति से किसी बात पर अनबन होता हैं
और पति रूठ जाता हैं
तब एक स्त्री कहीं पर भी, किसी महल में ही क्यों ना हो
फिर भी उस घर में भी,बेघर सा लगता हैं
क्योंकि एक स्त्री के लिए उसका पति,
उसकी जीवनसाथी ही सब कुछ होता हैं।
अपने जीवन साथी में ही एक स्त्री की दुनिया बसती हैं
एक स्त्री के लिए उसका जीवनसाथी ही,सब कुछ होता हैं।

मेरी यह नादान दिल, अभी तक ना जाना इज़हार करना
बस जाना तो यह जाना, चुपके से मोहब्बत करना
ना कह सकी अपनी मोहब्बत के लफ्ज़ो को जुबां से बयां करना
बस आया तो यह आया, उसके मोहब्बत के इज़हार का इंतजार करना।

मेरी यह नादान दिल, ना सीखा अभी तक दूरियां को बर्दाश करना
ना सीखा दोनों के झगड़े के बाद, पहले उन्हें मानना
बस आया तो सिर्फ यह आया, दिल में मोहब्बत को छुपा कर
और मुँह फुला कर, उनको मुझे पहले मनाने का इंतज़ार करना।

हमेशा मुस्कुराती रहा करो
वो हमसे कहते रहते हैं
और हम भी उनके सामने मुस्कुराते रहते हैं
और हमारी मुस्कान को देख,
वो भी मुस्कुराया करते हैं।
एक दिन की बात हैं
जब मैं रात के 3 बजे
अपने लम्बे घने बाल खुला रख के
और सफ़ेद नाईटी पहन के
मुस्कुराते हुए उनका सोता हुआ चेहरा देख रही थी
पर जब वो नींद से जागे, मुझे देख डर गए
ऐसा क्यों हुआ? कोई बता सकता हैं क्या?

जरुरी हैं, इन फासलों का होना
जरुरी हैं, इन दिलों का तड़पना
मोहब्बत की नदी को, मोहब्बत का सागर बनाने के लिए
यह सब का होना जरुरी हैं... यह दूरियां भी जरुरी हैं।
