He was like sunshine, jovial and one of a kind.
He robbed us of his warm presence and his infectious laughter.
We stand here like helpless children, looking for him, beseeching him to come back. To no avail.
He lies there cold and unmoving, like he's taking a nap, an eternal nap.
Time doesn't heal you, it makes you numb and unfeeling.
We bargained, threatened and begged and learnt the sad fact that we are just that. Helpless children.
