She made a painting vivid
with all her heart and soul
But they called it wierd
for the sky was painted gold.

They did see the blue birds,
and those wide pink roads
But they missed those tiny details
and feelings yet untold.

"You did erase the blue and green,
and added too much grey,
I just painted a piece of paper
You moulded nature's way."

"Yet you seek perfection when
the perfect was burnt by you
Better than your concrete grey
Is a golden sky and a shade of hue."

Wait.
As the alarm clock goes off each morning,
and life refuses to rise in speed,
the day passes by in a breath,
and our wait remains the same,
for the setting sun to rise again.

But then do we realise,
that the sparrows indeed are flying high.
They've waited an eternity,
for greener grass and a clearer sky.
And with the next sunrise maybe,
we see the world with a perspective new,
for they too deserve
a tint of green and a share of blue.
