Genesis
In the beginning,
you said light be
Blue lights flickered
And the evening and night
were the first date
...We ate the fruit, gored on it
naked, we hide behind blanket-
And when the morning peek behind
the veil of night, there you lay
the spaces between your ears
filled with sweet nothings
his name dragged out of your moans
your fingers across the expanse of his back-
I won't ask you not to read this poem
I will not warn you to stand guard
But do not be surprised when you
fall into the depth of this love
Wrapped in my hands and exhaling sharply.-
Missile
Carried underbelly, missles
have been dropping all night
yet the only nuclear site I
want to hit is yours.-
Idan
He breaks rocks,
we break bread
Man oils rusty hinges
so we can flex
Father deadlifts issues
same way his woman
He adds lustre, brings solutions-
To eat lips
No cutlery needed;
Hands are usually
busy so you use
lips to hit lips
so you can eat lips-
This poem is insignificant;
the love of the babe who
said she would stop talking
to her ex.
This poem is toxic, it takes
a swipe at you at will.
This poem is the narcissist
you should let go of.-
Wet dream
You awaken to dripping
tree, soiled sheet
It's a first, it won't be the last
Boy, you are a farmer now
careful where you plant.-
What in a head
A good head, a bad head
a full head, a bald head
Racked with migraine
under the weight of the thighs-
Meatloaf
There is more than one way to make
meatloaf, some recipe says to
run the glaze over before placing it
in the heat.
Some others advocate for glazing
after baking. What does your
cook book recommend?-
