सूरज तो डूब गया था
मगर लाली छोड़ गया।
कलम के साथ एक पन्ना
कोई ख़ाली छोड़ गया।
ख़ुद से कोई वादा था शायद उसका
जलते दिये चौखट पर
वो पिछली दिवाली छोड़ गया!

यहाँ रुकना कौन चाहता है?
हाथ से गिर जाए मोती भी आज
यहाँ झुकना कौन चाहता है ?
शायद सब जानते हों सब का हाल
अब यहाँ पूछना कौन चाहता है ?
