भूल गया मुझे वो कुछ दिन चाहने के बाद
जैसे मुरझा जाते है फूल किताबों मे सूखने के बाद

हम लोग अपनी कहानियाँ तो यूं सुनाने लगे है
जैसे पढ रहे हो वसीहत चले जाने के बाद

मेरे किस्सों पर हक़ सिर्फ मेरे यार का है
किसी और को क्या सुनाना उसे सुनाने के बाद

वो रात दिन बातें मुझसे मिलने की करता है
पता नहीं कहाँ जाता है मेरे आने के बाद

अब जो मिल गयी है मंजिल
क्या यही मंजिल है तुम्हारी?

अब जो हो गयी हर आस पूरी
तो क्या ख्वाहिश है तुम्हारी?

अब जो खुश हो मुस्कुरा रहे हो
तो गीली आंखों से नाता तोड लोगे?

अब जो कूद रहे हो गा रहे हो
वास्ते आसमां के धरती छोड़ दोगे?

मुझे लगता है कि अब हमे बात कर लेनी चाहिये।क्यो कि अब सांझ चांदनी मे गुलने लगी है और तुम जानते हो कि रातों के साथ मेरे तज़रबे कुछ अच्छे नहीं है।
अब हमे बात कर लेनी चाहिये क्युंकि वो सूखा पत्ता जो अब तक किसी इन्तजार मे है।वह पत्ता अपने पेड़ से कभी भी बिछड़ सकता है। और मैं येह होते हुए नहीं देख सकती ।

अब हमे बात कर लेनी चाहिये क्यूंकि मै हमारी किताब के आखिरी पन्ने पर हूँ और चाहती हूँ कि हमारे किरदारों का अन्त इस तरह न हो। चाहती हूँ एक नयी किताब लिखी जाये जिसमें हम कुछ और पल श्वास ले सके।साथ।

अब मै थक चुकी हूँ लिखते लिखते । जो कुछ बचा है ना वह नजरों मे रखा है उस भाषा में जो मैने सिर्फ तुम्हे सिखायी है।तो इस बार जब आओगे तो हम करेंगे शब्दों से नजरों से बहुत सारी बातें।
