The big thing that cured my laziness was learning Physics.when entering in physics you learn about a concept called Inertia.put
Simply this is a bodies tendency to resist change in motion. This mixed with Newton's law that a body at rest remain at rest ,and a body in motion will stay in motion unless acted on by an external force. Understanding these two things told me that we are all lazy by nature. And laziness will not fix itself. It can't be reasoned with.
It's a matter of applying some kind of force (motivation) to create momentum.And once that momentum is built,all that inertia that was once keeping you lazy and at rest is now keeping you at high speed.
