feeling the soft snow
collapsing beneath your feet
a cold bite enveloping it.
Second step forward
the sound of the crunch
and the creation of below
standing steady among the snow.
Third step forward
leaving an imprint
marking the beginning
of a voyage into the unknown.
One step after another
as you made your way
across the white wonderland
marvelling at the ethereality
of the entire surroundings
