छलनी हो जाती हूँ मैं

बैठा चकवा आस लगाए
जैसे प्यासी धरती तरसे,
मेघा आएँ, खुल के बरसें

प्रेम एक छलावा पैदा कर देता है जिसमें भ्रमित औरत, पूरा जीवन खुशी-खुशी बिता देती है, बिना ये जाने कि वह न जाने कितने समय से कैद है... जब तक एक दिन, वह अपने दायरे से बाहर निकलने की कोशिश करती है और तब लाख छटपटाने पर भी उन बंधनों से मुक्त होना असंभव हो जाता है।

She penned a heartfelt letter to him, every word brimming with love. Just as she was about to hit send, she hesitated, recalling the stark contrast between their cultures. Her eyes closed, recalling his earnest face, pleading with her to accept his love. But then her father's stern face intruded, accusing and formidable. She took a deep breath, battling her inner turmoil, and reluctantly pressed backspace. Love remained buried within her, unspoken, yet not forgotten.

वक़्त तो बस बीतता जाता है
जैसे रेत सरक जाती है बंद मुट्ठी से,
कितना भी रोको इसे,
अनसुना कर के चलता ही जाता है
फिर भी है कुछ ऐसा,
जो वक़्त को बांध ही लेता है
बीता हुआ वो लम्हा,
जो ठहर गया यादों के झुरमुट में सदा के लिए,
जब चाहो उसे जाकर जी लो फिर से,
मन के हर कोने में,
वक़्त का एक टुकड़ा नज़र आता है
अब ये तुम पर है
कि कब उसे आज़ाद करो
वर्ना यादों की गिरफ्त में चाहे न चाहे,
वक़्त बंध ही जाता है

I kept your toothbrush next to mine
A symbol of a love that's still worthwhile.

For memories linger, in the toothbrush's touch,
A reminder of a love that meant so much.

This ritual keeps my hope alive, with each passing day,
That somehow, someway, love will find its way.
