वो मासूम सा चेहरा, चहरे पे जुल्फो का पहरा.
दिल को बाध सा गया उस के संग.
मैं बैठा था एक किनारे उसे निहारे.
वो उलझी पड़ी थी किताबों के पन्नों के बहाने.
मैं तो खो सा गया था उस शम्मा मे,
शायद सुकून मिल रहा था उसकी अदा मे.
उसकी सादगी को देख फिर मन पिघल सा गया,
जो दिल मे तूफां उठा था वो टहर सा गया.

तुझे न मिलने की चाह मेरी,
और मैं कश्मकश मे दिन गुजार बैठी!!
फिर आई रात तो,
मैं फिर तेरी यादों मे खुद को उलझा बैठी!!
हाय ये नादानी मेरी,
मुझे ही खुद से गुमशुदा कर ख्यालो मे तुझको बुला बैठी!!
एक पल के लिए सम्भली थी मैं,
ख्यालो से जागकर, पर फिर ये मुझे ही मेरी सोच मे डूबा बैठी!!

न जाने मुझसे क्या क्या करा बैठी!!
