Memoirs of YOU

Moments that were stamped to my skin has suddenly begun to fade away just as the dust brushes over the surface. Various letters we put together to make our life a poem has taken a sudden break. Fleeting moments are now rusted in the corner of my heart.
My feet are now on the ground instead of drowning.
I guess life has now begun to take a new turn.

She: "what is so great about him?"
Me: " my tears don't feel unheard and my smile doesn't fade away in his presence."

It became such a custom.
Living with the words stuffed inside.
Tears creating ocean.
Desires vanishing in thin air.
Gazes shutting me out.
Not a hand to hold in the crowd.
The monsters screaming my ears out.
Hope drowning in the junks of my mind.
Only a word to hold onto: BREATHE

That night we were on the ferris wheel.
Scared, i clenched your hand,
You came closer.
Our body's ignited fire.
Then it moved faster and my feet didn't feel any ground as it went down like a free fall.
You noticed my fear,
Seconds later my whole body was in the air,
My stomach, filled with butterflies,
And we had our first kiss.

Yesterday,
I was noticing the scars in my soul,
The venom flowing through my flesh,
The cold breeze making me feel belonged.
Today,
I have been embracing the cracks holding me together,
The small gestures making me move,
My hands reaching for my desires.
Now,
I am becoming the hidden warrior inside of me.

What if our lives are a recorded series,
What if we have audience looking at us, judging us, and becoming a fan as well.
What if we are presenting various phases of life,
What if our problems are just climax eventually to have a destined end,
What if life isn't to live but to learn from,
What if we are the fictitious characters falling, learning, evolving to set an example.
What if this isn't a 'what if' ?

Now as i type your name, my fingers become prisoners of the past we never made present.
