Empty From Inside

In my dead eyes,
Once were the thoughts of positive moments,
Now these eyes have become dark,
To cover up the pain which I can't figure out.

Something killing me every second,
I'm familiar with getting killed,
But not.. what is killing me.
Indeed, it is something mysterious and I no longer wish to live.

Inside the chaos that's causing me hurt,
Without any knowledge of what this chaos is.
My eyes continue to be numb,
Oblivious of what's killing me inside.

In the dead of the night,
Everyone expects me to shine,
And with a careless attitude inside my mind,
I lay dead from inside, only my body is alive.

The Hurt That I Carry

Like the drops of rain,
Everything slipped away from my hand.
Lost in presence, I became a stone...
And in this deserted place, I stand.

Like a forgotten document,
Among a thousand others,
I hold no name, no trace of myself...
Left to decay in silence, unlike the cherished others.

Now, no one looks for me in the dark,
No voices call out my name.
I sit with silence by my side...
And I cry alone, without a flame.

The dreams I had.. have disappeared,
Like smoke into the sky.
I don’t remember who I was...
Just feel a hurt I can’t deny.

I want to live free,
I want to keep my spirit high,
I wish to let go off my fear,
Freeing my soul, I wanna fly.

I want to break through my cage,
I want to feel the open sky,
I no longer doubt what I can do,
No more just watching life pass by.

I want to feel peace,
I want to chase the reason why,
Let all my worries slowly cease,
And give my dreams a chance to try.

I want to feel the light,
I want to reach and touch the sky,
I won’t be scared to try again,
But rise from the ground and learn to fly.
