It is not death that a person should fear,
but the fear of never beginning to live.

- Marcus Aurelius

To the heart that aches today
It will bloom once again,
Filled with cool breeze
The air would smell sweet again.
Fantasies that you once dreamt
will turn soon into reality
As the person of your dream walks in
Then the Love would stay for perpetuity.

The moments of calm and cold
the grip of death reaper's hold
On the path that no one walked
It felt memories around me flocked.
Flowers which once glowed red and bright
seemed trampled upon by wrath of time
Promises of the pair, or words of the sage
Once dropped from clutches of prime
just sit as a ghost of the memories sublime.

While Earth burnt and
humans killed humans
Gods wondered if they preached
Peace to the wrong demons.
Even the Gods heart ached
Seeing the bloodbath below
So he sent Prophets from above
only to see them plough
the knife in the name of religion.

Fuming with anger
Humans turned against each other,
the path of peace, now had guns
"To protect their people"
From the touch of the disbelievers.
Even the Gods grew restless
of these culling insanity,
wondered when Humans would get,

There is no other religion than Humanity.

Months passed by
and the door was sealed shut
the rest around were robbed
while mine stayed untouched
for the ghost from my memories
still guards the door without fail
while the room is covered with dust
a mere confetti knicks me at spots
like the edges of a blade, i cannot tend to,
Bleeds now and then, turning it all blue.

I walk around
And see a million feet
But looking up to their face
a dark, blank screen merely glares.
In search of a face,
that was familiar
I travelled cities, only to find one
Unexpectedly sitting right beside me.

Reflections shimmering, bird's bickering
the clouds lit up in its golden light
Human's sight may never see it
the brilliance of nature,
When the sun rises in the sky of night.

that rises up inspite of darkness -
A true friend? You say,
What happens on that one night
When the sky losses its jewel?

Looking up at it, he said,
Even the brightest burn internally
seeing the tears and pain
that night brings out.
That one fine day, it mourns in darkness
preparing itself to be a sight for sore eyes.

NEVER WILL AN EYE TEAR,
BE IT MINE OR THEIR.

Down those very same road
on those autumn clad path,
where talks turned into memories
where once i touched your skin
with the back of my hand,
Now feels like a haunted cemetery
filled with darkness and melancholy.

A walk down this cemetery
breathes life to several ghosts of mine
one sitting on the bench to the right
another sipping the wine late at night.
This yellow draped path
feels like a gallery of memories
mistakenly opened for a while
now i keep scrolling through
hoping all of it comes back to life.
